Mr. Aksoy, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Akmar Shipping Group of Companies, is not only a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Shipping and the Turkish Shipowners’ Association, but also an executive member of the well-known Standard P&I Club. Akmar Shipping, together with its other reputable Turkish maritime groups with which it operates in dry cargo/tanker investments, still maintains its position as one of the leading companies in the sector. By increasing its service quality and adhering to safety regulations, Akmar Shipping, which renews itself according to international rules, has been certified with a Quality Management System Standards compliance certificate since 1998. The Agency Department, which was Akmar Denizcilik’s first step into the shipping industry, is one of the company’s most important divisions. It proudly serves many leading names in global shipping and assists various reputable shipping companies in all Turkish ports and straits.
